世界遺産でもある五箇山の合掌造り集落にいってきました。
雪深い山岳地帯での昔の人の生活に思いを馳せつつ、その風情を楽しむことができました。ごまちはといえば、ごまちは合掌造りの建築様式には何の興味も示しませんでしたが、田んぼのあぜ道と用水路の小さな生物たち（タニシとか。。。）にさわったり稲作を間近にみたりと、楽しい体験だったようです。
お母ちゃんが子供の頃はそれが日常だったのですけどね。。。
さて、お母ちゃんがこの日最も印象に残ったのはトイレでした。子連れであちこち旅行に出かける我が家にとっては公衆トイレの善し悪しはかなり気になるところ。この日利用したのは、観光地の駐車場の片隅にある、合掌造りをかたどった小さな公衆トイレでした。
普段ならば、観光地のトイレだし、あまり清潔さは求められないと覚悟して入ったのですが。。。これが、予想に反して割合と掃除もいきとどいていて、マナーも守られている様子。あちこちに張り紙がしてあって、「みんなが気持ちよく使えるようにきれいに使いましょう」と書かれています。ひっきりなしに観光バスからおりてきた人たちが入ってくるし利用者は多いと思われるのですが、意外に汚れていないのは、この張り紙のせいなのでしょうか。
